DUAL DYNAMICS, SPLIT BY PURPOSE A 9mm DLC driver handles the low end, while a 7mm dual-magnet dual-cavity DLC driver focuses on the mids, helping reduce overlap between frequencies.
SECOND-GEN MICRO PLANAR Smaller than a typical balanced armature, with lower distortion and better extension for cleaner detail and a more open top end.
PZT FOR MORE AIR The piezoelectric ceramic driver helps smooth out treble texture while adding more air and a wider sense of space.
4-WAY CROSSOVER CONTROL Each driver is tuned through both electronic and acoustic crossover design, helping reduce interference and keep the sound more coherent.

    Hear Deeper.

Some IEMs impress in the first minute, then feel thin and tiring.

P40 is tuned for depth and staying power, with a fuller picture that holds together.

It’s clarity you can live with, not brightness you endure.

    Bass With Control.

When the bass gets big, vocals usually lose their place.

P40 keeps the low end weighty and punchy, but clean enough to stay out of the mids.

A dedicated 9mm dynamic driver builds the foundation without the bloom.

    Vocals Stay Locked.

Ever notice how voices drift back the moment the beat drops?

P40 keeps vocals centered and solid, so the song doesn’t lose its focus when it gets busy.

That stability comes from a separate 7mm mid driver doing one job well.

    Planar + PZT Air.

Treble is tricky. Too soft and you lose space, too sharp and you stop listening.

P40 adds air and fine texture without forcing brightness.

The 2nd-gen planar handles speed and detail, while PZT lifts overtones and atmosphere.

    One Cable, Any Source.

Switching sources shouldn’t mean swapping cables or stacking adapters.

P40 includes 3.5mm + 4.4mm modular plugs, so your setup stays flexible from day one.

Paired with a Furukawa silver-plated cable and 0.78mm 2-Pin, it’s built to fit today and upgrade later.

    Crafted.

With 18 years of acoustic experience behind us, EPZ builds products with refined tuning and thoughtful craftsmanship, so what you hear feels right and what you hold does too.

    FAQs.

    +
Q Is the P40 easy to drive?
Yes. It runs well on phones and most portable sources. If you want a cleaner background and tighter control, pairing it with a good dongle DAC is the easiest upgrade.
Q What does “Planar + PZT” add compared to typical hybrid IEMs?
The miniature planar helps deliver cleaner treble texture and faster transients, while the PZT ceramic unit enhances air, shimmer, and micro-detail—especially on cymbals, strings, and ambience cues.
Q What kind of sound is it tuned for?
P40 targets a balanced, natural presentation with strong technical performance: solid bass foundation, clear vocals, and extended, non-fatiguing treble.
Q Will it hiss on a phone (14Ω)?
P40 is a low-impedance IEM, so very noisy sources can reveal hiss at high volume. If you notice it, lower system gain, switch devices, or use a cleaner dongle DAC.
Q 3.5mm or 4.4mm—what should I use? Are both included?
Use 3.5mm for maximum compatibility. Use 4.4mm balanced if your source supports it and you want extra headroom and control. Both 3.5mm and 4.4mm plugs are included in the box.
