How long does faceplate and shell color customization take?
Faceplate and shell color customization usually takes 14–21 days before shipment.
This includes color preparation, finishing, quality inspection, and final assembly. The exact timeline may vary depending on the selected finish and order volume.
What is the difference between color customization and true CIEM customization?
Faceplate and shell color customization changes the appearance of the IEM, including the faceplate finish and shell color.
A true CIEM is built to match the shape of your ears. This requires either 3D ear scan files or physical ear impressions provided by the customer.
How long does custom-fit CIEM production take?
Custom-fit CIEM production based on ear molds, 3D ear scans, or physical ear impressions is usually completed within 45 days.
This longer timeline is required because each shell must be individually modeled, checked, produced, assembled, and inspected for fit-related accuracy.
What should I provide for a true custom-fit CIEM?
You can provide either 3D ear scan files or physical ear impressions made by an audiologist.
If you already have 3D scan files, please include a download link in your request. If you have physical impressions, EPZ will confirm the shipping instructions by email.
Can I customize both the appearance and the fit?
Yes. You may request both appearance customization and true custom-fit CIEM production.
