This support guide shows you how to tune PEQ/EQ on the EPZ TP35 Pro (TP35PRO) using WalkPlay (Android APK) or Web Tuning (browser on iOS/desktop). You’ll learn how to connect, choose a starting preset, adjust PEQ safely, try digital filters, and save profiles you can switch anytime.

1) Choose your tuning method
Option A — WalkPlay (Android)
- Best if you want the full “pairing + presets + tuning controls” experience on Android.
- Install the official APK from EPZ Downloads.
Option B — Web Tuning (iOS / Windows / macOS / no-install)
- Best if you prefer no installs or you’re on iOS/desktop.
- Runs in your browser (login required). Bookmark it for quick access.
2) Quick setup (works for both WalkPlay and Web Tuning)
- Connect TP35 Pro to your phone/tablet/PC via USB-C (use a reliable adapter for iOS if needed).
- Plug in your IEM/headphone to the correct output (3.5mm single-ended or 4.4mm balanced).
- Start low volume: lower system volume first, then raise slowly after audio starts playing.
- Open WalkPlay (Android) or Web Tuning (browser) and confirm the device is detected.
3) Tuning workflow (beginner-safe)
Step 1 — Start from a preset (don’t tune from scratch first)
Pick a preset closest to your preference (e.g., “vocal”, “warm”, “clarity”, “game” if available). This gives you a stable baseline. Once the overall direction feels right, move to small PEQ changes.
Step 2 — Make small PEQ changes (one thing at a time)
A good rule: change only 1 band at a time, listen for 30–60 seconds, then decide. Avoid stacking many changes quickly—your ears adapt and it becomes hard to judge.
- If the sound is too bright / sharp: try a small cut around 6–9 kHz (gentle, not extreme).
- If vocals feel recessed: try a small lift around 1–3 kHz.
- If bass lacks weight: try a small lift around 60–120 Hz.
- If bass feels boomy: try a small cut around 150–250 Hz.
Step 3 — Save your profile (name by scenario)
After you land on a good sound, save it as a custom profile so you can switch instantly later. Use scenario names like:
- Music – Smooth
- Music – Clear
- Gaming – FPS
- Calls – Mic+
4) Digital filters (5 modes) — what they do & when to use
TP35 Pro offers multiple digital filter modes that subtly change transient character, perceived smoothness, and “edge” of notes. If you’re new, treat filters as fine seasoning after your PEQ baseline is set.
- FAST-LL (Fast / Low Latency) — fast transient feel; often perceived as more direct/impactful.
- FAST-PC (Fast / Phase Compensation) — fast feel with phase-compensation behavior; can alter image/placement slightly.
- SLOW-LL (Slow / Low Latency) — smoother top-end, gentler edges; can feel more relaxed.
- SLOW-PC (Slow / Phase Compensation) — relaxed with phase behavior; often perceived as more “monitor-like”.
- NOS (Non-OverSampling) — a different processing approach; can feel warmer/softer for certain recordings.
5) Recommended “starter” profiles (safe templates)
These are not “one-size-fits-all” because every IEM/headphone differs. Use them as gentle templates:
Template A — Smooth listening (reduce fatigue)
- Small cut in the upper treble (if sharp)
- Very small bass lift (if thin)
- Filter: try SLOW-LL
Template B — Clear vocals (speech & detail)
- Small lift in 1–3 kHz region
- Avoid heavy bass boosts
- Filter: try FAST-LL or FAST-PC
Template C — Gaming / positional cues (FPS)
- Keep bass controlled (avoid masking footsteps)
- Small presence lift (2–4 kHz) if needed
- Filter: start with FAST-LL (then test FAST-PC)

6) Troubleshooting
“I don’t see the device in the app/web.”
- Reconnect TP35 Pro and close/reopen the app or refresh Web Tuning.
- Try another USB port/cable/adapter (especially on iOS).
- Try a different browser for Web Tuning.
“Sound is distorted after tuning.”
- Lower your PEQ boosts and reduce preamp/output if available.
- Reset to a preset and re-apply changes more gently.
“Android installation is blocked.”
- Enable “Install unknown apps” for your browser or file manager, then reinstall from official links.
7) Next steps
If you want, we can build a dedicated PEQ profile for your exact IEM/headphone + listening goal. Send your IEM model and what you want to improve (e.g., “less shout”, “more sub-bass”, “clearer footsteps”), and we’ll create 2–3 profiles (Music / Gaming / Calls) you can save and compare.
